Chris Stewart - Head Athletic Trainer
Chris Stewart begins his first season as the Penguins Head Athletic Trainer after serving as the Associate Athletic Trainer for the Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes during the 2005-06 season.
Stewart, a Johnstown, Pa., native joined the Hurricanes after spending one season as the Athletic Trainer for Carolina's AHL affiliate at the time, the Lowell Lock Monsters. Prior to joining the Lock Monsters, Stewart worked as the Athletic Trainer for the Johnstown Chiefs of the ECHL.
Chris graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1993 and earned his masters degree from IUP in 1996. Chris and his wife Kimberly have a son, Christian, and a daughter, Rylie. |

Dana Heinze - Head Equipment Manager
Dana Heinze enters his first season as the Penguins' Head Equipment Manager after spending the last six years as an Assistant Equipment Manager for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Heinze, a native of Johnstown, Pa., joined the Lightning for the 2000-01 season after serving as the Equipment Manager for the IHL's Detroit Vipers the prior season and was a member of the 2003-04 team in Tampa Bay that won the Stanley Cup.
Heinze served as the head trainer of the ECHL's Johnstown Chiefs on two occasions (1988-92, 1995-98). Heinze also served as the Head Equipment Manager for the New Jersey Devils in 1992-93.
Heinze attended Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, NY. Dana and his wife Kathy reside in Pittsburgh. |
