A Great Loss to PHATS/SPHEM

Jukka Nieminen – Phoenix Coyotes, Massage Therapist
We are saddened to report the tragic passing of the Phoenix Coyotes‘ long-time massage therapist, Jukka Nieminen on Friday, June 11, 2010. Jukka was part of the PHATS/SPHEM family and will be greatly missed. On behalf of the entire PHATS/SPHEM association, we extend our thoughts, prayers and heartfelt condolences to Jukka’s family and friends.

PHATS/SPHEM Hall of Fame Honoree – Mark Brennan

Congratulations to Mark "Peaches" Brennan.
On Tuesday, June 15th Mark Brennan was honored as the PHATS/SPHEM 2010 Hall of Fame Inductee at our Annual Meeting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Brian Skrudland, former NHL player and Jiggs McDonald, former NHL broadcaster served as our Keynote Speakers for the evening.

Mark’s professional career in the NHL includes Head Equipment Manager with the Detroit Red Wings and Florida Panthers. He has been a member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association for 27 years and he has been certified with the AEMA since 1994. Mark is still actively involved with PHATS/SPHEM as the Chairman of the Alumni Association. He resides in Oregon with his wife Judy and two children Tucker and Meagan.
